David Zell visited tel Akko today to work with the students who are studying conservation with him.
David says: “Tel Akko needs to be protected from the elements in between excavations, so it’s important to identify where the water runs off, which walls are in poor condition, and where fragile excavations need to be shored up with sandbags or other materials.” The students were tasked with preparing a site condition report that includes plans and sections of walls and other architectural elements, a description of the condition of the walls, and suggestions how to protect them.
