David Zell , conservator was up on the Tel today, teaching students how to plan for the conservation of the site in between excavations.

David says: “A site like Tel Akko must be protected from the elements in between excavations, so it’s important to work out where the water flows, which walls need support and where we need to take extra care with fragile excavations. The students have been given the task of identifying and mapping out all of the threatened areas.”

I only do things I really want to do now - building Tel Akko's website with you was one of them.
